Makeup Tips For Oily Skin Types
Firstly ensure that the skincare
products you're using are specific to your skin type. You need a good cleanser,
exfoliator, toner and moisturiser and it all needs to work in harmony to help
balance your skin.
You then need to create a good
base for your makeup, so it has staying power and lasts all day. I would
suggest an oil-free, silicone based primer, concealer and foundation followed
by a good bronzer and face powder. Don't be overzealous when using powder,
use it only where need, most likely your t-zone (forehead & down the nose
and possibly chin).
I recently discovered a great
silicone based foundation made by Australian brand, Gorgeous Cosmetics. I
can't recommend it enough!
I would use a matte, powder-based
eye-shadow and powder-based blush. Finally, avoid too much shimmer as you
could end up looking like a glitter ball! If you love shimmer as much as I do,
use it on your collar bones and shoulders for a lovely after-sun glow!
